TRAVEL BLOG – AMARKANTAK TRIP PART IV – Final Post

On our second last day we decided to explore few more places. The road towards the places were absolutely beautiful.

We went to couple of temples which were located in remote jungle area which had me doubt my decision for a second because I was travelling with kids but thankfully on the entire trip we didn’t meet a single person who in any way was even rude towards us. So ultimately it was just me being a city person scared of the jungle.

We as family were really loving getting to get darshan at these temples which were located in such pure and peaceful place. At this first temple named Jwalesher Mahadev dedicated to Lord Shiv there was a well with absolutely stunning water. I was a bit skeptical drinking from a well but it was actually clean and tasted better than any mineral water.

Kids and family enjoying the prasadam from the daily bhandara which feeds everyone.

The atmosphere at this place was so calm and peaceful that I could spend hours here.

Just a couple of hundred meters behind this place is this Amareshwar Mahadev temple where a large Shivling, 11 feet high with 51 ton weight is placed brought from Omkareshwar. Photography wasn’t allowed inside so I couldn’t bring the pictures.

Early in the morning, the day of our return we went for one last time again to get blessings at the Narmada Udgam Temple.

This old lady in one of the temples applied teeka on us as blessings for safe journey back home.

This waterfall was on our way to the railway station. The place also as a Temple which didn’t have a lot of devotees at this time. Unfortunately I saw a few people who were using this place as a picnic spot when they should be banned from entering a place with temple they can’t respect.

Just couple of hours before our train was to arrive to take us back home we took this final picture to end this amazing trip. We hope to return again.
